Q: shall we use armbands, rubber rings or use no support ?
A: armbands are the safest & cheapest form of buoyancy aid, they give the children freedom to learn, & promote confidence, but need constant supervision.
Q: are the lessons Structured and do they follow a National Plan?
A: yes they are from The National Plan for Teaching Swimming, which provides detailed direction and guidance for all lessons.
Q: when is the best age for my child to start?
A: from around 4 to 6 months.
Q: how long are the lessons?
A: 30 minutes, this is the maximum recommended time.
Q: can we eat before coming to the pool?
A: a light snack 15-30 minutes before visiting the pool is fine.
Q: can other people accompany my child ( Dad / Nanny / Granny ) if I cannot?
A: yes, remember a swimming costume for both adult and child for Beginners & Confidence classes, but let us know.
Q: what is the size of the class?
A: beginners: 8 children max. Improvers 4 to 1 ratio. 1 Teacher 1 helper. Stroke Development pupils maximum 9.
Q: what we can do on holiday to back up our lessons?
A: take bath toys and play games from our lessons.
